Configure SMTP
Enable SMTP to send emails from your own address using your provider.
Prerequisites
- Provider that supports SMTP (Gmail or any SMTP service)
- Credentials: host, port, username, password
- Gmail only: enable 2‑Step Verification and create an App Password
Configure in Pixi
- Choose a provider. For Gmail, follow Setup Gmail SMTP Provider.
- In Pixi, go to Settings → SMTP Configuration
- Toggle SMTP configuration.
- Enter your provider details (host, port, username, password).
- Click Save, then Test Connection.
Example (Gmail):
host: smtp.gmail.com
port: 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL)
username: your_email@gmail.com
password: Gmail App Password
Tips & Troubleshooting
- Use the correct port and security: 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL), per provider docs.
- The From address should match the authenticated user or allowed senders.
- If auth fails, regenerate credentials (e.g., new App Password for Gmail).
- Check firewalls or provider sending limits if connection works but emails don’t arrive.
