Send via Shopify

Overview

With Pixi, you can include a secure invoice link directly inside Shopify’s order confirmation emails. Customers simply click the link and download their invoice PDF. This approach uses Shopify’s own email delivery system, so you don’t need extra mail configuration.

Note: Send via Shopify is available on the Pro plan and above.

Create a Send via Shopify Automation

1. Open Pixi Order Printer in your Shopify admin.
2. From the sidebar, click Email → Create new automation.
3. Select Send via Shopify.
4. Choose the order template you want to send.
5. Rename the link label (for example, “Download Invoice”).
6. Copy the code snippet that Pixi generates for you.

Add Snippet to Shopify Notifications

1. In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Notifications.
2. Choose Order confirmation from the list.
3. Click Edit code.
4. Find the line near {% endcapture %}.
5. Paste the copied Pixi snippet before {% endcapture %}.
6. Save your changes.

Test the Email

• Click Preview in Shopify’s editor to confirm the new link shows up.
• Place a test order to ensure the invoice link works.
• Note: the link might not work in this preview mode as there is no actual order

Result

Every time Shopify sends an order confirmation email, customers will see your chosen link. Clicking it opens their personalized invoice PDF generated by Pixi.
